Tony, Craig and the La Barba crew begin their blending trip to the Domincan Republic.

Tobacalera William Ventura

The storied legacy of the Ventura family is representative of everything La Barba Cigars cares about in the industry. When Tony and Craig met with Ventura senior and his son Henderson Ventura, it was an immediately fruitful connection, that can only be fully understood through the creative byproduct themselves: The cigars.

In the fields, in the factory, Tony and Craig are on the hunt for the best and rarest tobacco they can find to make the new blend for La Barba Cigar's next release.

Dominican Tobacco

Although not every La Barba cigar is Dominican puro, the role of Dominican tobacco has been the central axis around which the blending process starts and ends. From the unique varietals to the location of the Ventura factory itself, these are Dominican cigars.

Tony and Craig wrap up the last day of their trip to the Dominican Republic, fine tuning the blends, finalizing new band designs and visiting the new box factory.
